Day 2 was full of more beautiful moist dirt and fantastic views. The weather was a little warmer, but there was still very little dust, none on the single track and just a little on the ATV and roads. I’m already looking forward to next year’s Stanley get-a-way!
Notables:
- Robo’s ravine: Robo looped his bike over and down a really steep ravine, took a couple guys and a few minutes to dead-lift his bike back up to the trail
- Favorite line: “That’s a recipe for disaster, Wally charging the front and Brock pulling tail…” -TW (it did end up with a smashed $300 head-pipe)
- Tim and Rich towing the dude on the broken bike to the ranger station, they missed the Paradise creek trail (which was siiicccckkkk), but caught back up with us at the head of Big Smokey
- Brock’s tumble off the Big smokey trail and almost into the river, thankfully he didn’t get hurt!
Crew: same as day 1 minus the Weeks brothers.
